My handsome monthly client, Joey, was back in the studio for some Easter photos. It has been wonderful to watch him grow session to session, which is one of the joys of return clients! He was just an itty, bitty baby and now he's in the studio in a tie and dock shoes! Seriously parents, where does the time go? I had the pleasure of photographing these two newlyweds on their wedding day and again for their newborn daughters fresh 48 session at Community Medical Center. This little miss is so sweet and deeply loved by her family. I look forward to working with this precious family again in the future. Congratulations Kevin & Carolanne, she is a beauty! Some of you may remember that back in November we introduced you to this handsome fella and asked for your help in naming him. Well, we are pleased to announce that we have decided that the new baby in the studio’s name is MILES! A special thanks to Agatha for your suggestion, we love it!
For those of you who don’t remember, or may be new here, let me tell you a little bit about Miles. Miles is what us photographers call a “stand in baby”. He is the same weight and size of a newborn and is built to move in all the ways a newborn is. He was created by Sandra Moffatt in her native Australia and I had the pleasure of receiving personal training from her at my in home studio! After my lessons with Sandra, I received a Certificate of Achievement in newborn photography safety. This is something I am tremendously proud of because it is essential that we don’t just get a beautiful picture, but that we also protect these amazing little ones we just welcomed into the world. Sandra also taught me about proper lighting, posing, wrapping, and editing so that I can achieve the best possible photos of your newborn with confidence that I am doing so in a safe manner.
So for those of you that are expecting, or know someone who is, please remember that when choosing a photographer that it is not just about the portfolio you see on their website, or the photos they post on social media, but also about the proper training and care they put into capturing your special moments. There's no buddy like a brother and the bond is even more special when you get to celebrate your birthdays together. Roman and Anthony's car themed party was a great celebration surrounded by friends and family. Happy birthday boys, you are so lucky to always have a built in best friend.
God Bless little Caleb and his amazing family! I have had the honor or capturing so many of this families cherished memories so I too am feeling blessed. Caleb is so adored by everyone, especially his big brother James, and it was so nice to spend another afternoon with them all. It was a windy day in Manahawkin with the Dunn Family to capture some lovely family memories that spanned generations. Despite it being one of the craziest weather days I've ever had a session during, we were still able to get some great shots and have a wonderful time. This is my fourth year taking this special boys fall photos and I'm amazed how much he has changed. It's so fun to look back and compare to past years sessions. Time just goes far too quickly and it's important to cherish the memories you make each day. Love you Ty, you and your mom are so special to me!
