It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs and the ones who accept you for who you are. They are the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what. Watching these two families become one is a moment that just amazed me. The love that was shared between them was so easily felt in every way. Caleb turned ONE and he got to celebrate by devouring his delicious smash cake. He was loving it, just like his big brother James did when he was in the studio for his first birthday session. James remembered how fun it was so he helped his little brother make sure there wasn't even a crumb left! This little guy is too cute and photogenic; I loved seeing the joy in his eyes. Thank you Hans family for allowing me to capture all your beautiful family memories!
You always get cake on your birthday, but it's only cute to smash it on your first! Adorable little Mackenzie wasn't quite sure what to make of her smash cake. I often wonder what goes through a little ones head when they are presented with a giant sized cake. "Is this all for me?" " Can I eat it all?" "Are they going to give me a fork?" "I've only ever had a bite of cake, so why the whole thing now?" It's so fun to see how they react; you're almost certain to get a completely different reaction each time. This is why I love these sessions so much! Happy birthday Mackenzie!
