Christmas Session Information!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well ladies and gentlemen, the time has finally come for the indoor Christmas mini announcement! Thats right, information and previews are here! Only 63 more days until Christmas, whhhaaattt. There will be three backdrop options: a ginger bread house, a snowy forest, and a red and black Christmas set up (that is big enough for a family shot!) There of course will be the option of having a full indoor Christmas session as well as the indoor mini session. Christmas minis are for immediate families with small children - but babies MUST be able to sit up unsupported or have an older sibling who can hold them. Christmas minis are not for newborns or for extended family sessions ( one family per time slot, no cousins, grandparents etc)!! 1 quick outfit change for CHILDREN is allowed if time allows it. 
Please make sure you receive a confirmation email and pay attention to the time that you book :)

Stand in Baby Miles | Jersey Shore Photographer | Ocean County Photography

Some of you may remember that back in November we introduced you to this handsome fella and asked for your help in naming him.  Well, we are pleased to announce that we have decided that the new baby in the studio’s name is MILES!  A special thanks to Agatha for your suggestion, we love it!

For those of you who don’t remember, or may be new here, let me tell you a little bit about Miles.  Miles is what us photographers call a “stand in baby”.  He is the same weight and size of a newborn and is built to move in all the ways a newborn is.  He was created by Sandra Moffatt in her native Australia and I had the pleasure of receiving personal training from her at my in home studio!  After my lessons with Sandra, I received a Certificate of Achievement in newborn photography safety.  This is something I am tremendously proud of because it is essential that we don’t just get a beautiful picture, but that we also protect these amazing little ones we just welcomed into the world.  Sandra also taught me about proper lighting, posing, wrapping, and editing so that I can achieve the best possible photos of your newborn with confidence that I am doing so in a safe manner.

So for those of you that are expecting, or know someone who is, please remember that when choosing a photographer that it is not just about the portfolio you see on their website, or the photos they post on social media, but also about the proper training and care they put into capturing your special moments.  Rest assured that when choosing Smile Photography you are receiving the best of both worlds; gorgeous photos to cherish for years to come and the comfort in knowing that we care about the safety of our clients both big and small.
