One Happy Dude Turns One! | Logan's Cake Smash Session

There are some families that hold a special place in my heart, and Logan's family is definitely one of them. I have been lucky enough to capture so many milestones for this sweet family, starting with Logan's newborn session and even photographing his siblings as newborns too. Watching these little ones grow from tiny babies into big personalities is one of the greatest joys of being a photographer.

Logan came into the studio ready to celebrate his first birthday with his "One Happy Dude" cake smash, and let me tell you—he absolutely LOVED his cake! From the moment it was placed in front of him, he wasted no time digging in. He was bringing handfuls of cake right to his face, licking the frosting, and enjoying every single bite.

In fact, Logan loved his cake so much that when we tried to move it or take it away, he was not happy about it! The expressions he gave us were priceless and had everyone laughing. He made it very clear that the cake belonged to him and he wasn't interested in sharing.

Usually, after the cake smash comes the splash bath, but Logan had other plans. He was still upset that his beloved cake was gone and wanted nothing to do with bath time! Even through the protests, he gave us the cutest expressions and made the session so much fun.

These are the moments I love most—the genuine smiles, the silly faces, the big emotions, and the personalities that shine through. Logan was absolutely amazing, and I am so grateful to continue documenting these special milestones for his family.
