A Brief Stop in New Jersey, A Lifetime of Memories

Welcoming a new baby into the world is always an incredible honor to capture, but this session was extra special for me.

Recently, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful newborn and their wonderful family while they were making a stop here in New Jersey. As a military family, their journey takes them to many different places, and I am so grateful that one of those stops led them to my studio.

From the moment they walked through the door, it was easy to see the love, strength, and connection they share as a family. Capturing these first precious moments with their newest little one was truly an honor. Newborn days pass so quickly, and being trusted to preserve these memories is something I never take for granted.

To this amazing family, thank you for choosing me to document such an important chapter in your lives. Most importantly, thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country. The dedication and commitment military families show every day is something that deserves so much appreciation.

A Perfect Beginning: Welcoming My First Studio Newborn

There is always something exciting about a "first," and this session was one I had been looking forward to for a long time. This sweet little guy was my very first newborn client in my new studio, and I couldn't have asked for a better family to share that milestone with.

From the moment they arrived, everything just seemed to fall into place. Although baby was a little older than the typical newborn age, he absolutely rocked his session. He was calm, cooperative, and gave us so many beautiful moments to capture. Sessions with older newborns can sometimes be unpredictable, but he made my job easy and proved that beautiful newborn portraits can happen at any age.

One of my favorite parts of the session was seeing the special items his family brought along. I always love when families incorporate meaningful keepsakes into their photos because it helps tell their unique story. These personal touches made the images even more special and created memories that will be treasured for years to come.

And can we talk about his name outfit? I am absolutely in love with it! It was such a perfect addition to the session and added so much personality to his portraits. Little details like that make every session unique and memorable.

As I settle into this new studio space, sessions like this remind me exactly why I love what I do. Being trusted to capture these early moments is truly an honor, and I am so grateful this wonderful family chose me to document such a special time in their lives.

Puppy Love & Birthday Cake: A First Birthday Cake Smash

When people hear that I photograph cake smash sessions, they usually picture a one-year-old toddler covered in frosting and giggles. But sometimes, my cake smash clients have four paws, wagging tails, and the sweetest puppy eyes imaginable — just like this birthday girl celebrating her very first birthday!

This session was honestly such a dream for me. Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely adore dogs. In fact, I’ll admit it… I probably love dogs more than people most days 😂. So when I get the chance to combine photography with celebrating a beloved pup, my heart completely melts.

From the moment she walked into the studio, this sweet girl brought so much personality and excitement with her. Between the happy tail wags, curious sniffs, and adorable little expressions, she had us all smiling the entire session. And once the cake came out? Pure happiness. Frosting on the nose, puppy kisses, and the cutest messy moments made this session unforgettable.

I love that more families are choosing to celebrate their pets in special ways like this. Dogs truly are family, and their milestones deserve to be documented too. Whether it’s a first birthday, a “gotcha day,” or simply wanting updated portraits of your furry best friend, these sessions always end up being some of my favorites.

A Mother’s Day Session Full of Love & Laughter

Getting to welcome this sweet family into the new studio for their Mother’s Day session was so special. I have been photographing these girls for many years now, and every time I see them, I’m reminded just how lucky I am to capture these memories as they grow together.

Watching the bond between this mama and her two daughters throughout the session was absolutely beautiful. From the quiet snuggles to the nonstop laughter, their connection shined in every single moment. Welcoming Baby Home | An In-Home Newborn Session Full of Love

After a few weeks of rescheduling due to the flu making its way through my house, I was so excited to finally meet this sweet family and capture such a special milestone for them. When it comes to newborn sessions, the health and safety of baby and family will always come first, so we patiently waited until everyone was healthy and ready — and it was absolutely worth it.

This beautiful in-home newborn session was filled with so much love, warmth, and the sweetest little moments. Their two dogs were the perfect addition to the session and did such an amazing job posing alongside their newest family member. I always love when families include their pets because they are such an important part of the story too.

Big brother absolutely stole the show in the best way. At just two years old, he listened so well, incredibly gentle with the baby, and made the session flow so smoothly. Watching the excitement and love between siblings during newborn sessions is always one of my favorite parts.

There is something so meaningful about photographing a family in their own home. The nursery, the cuddles on the couch, the tiny everyday moments — it all helps tell the story of this season exactly as it is. These are the memories that deserve to be frozen in time.

A Day Full of Smiles: My First Mini Sessions in the New Studio

There are some days in this business that truly remind you why you love what you do—and this was absolutely one of them.

I recently hosted my very first round of mini sessions in my new studio, and I couldn’t have asked for a more special experience. Partnering with the amazing Stefanie and her animals made the day unforgettable. From the moment families walked in, you could feel the excitement in the room. The animals brought so much joy, laughter, and genuine smiles to every single child (and let’s be honest—the adults loved it just as much!).

Watching the kids interact with the animals was such a highlight. They were gentle, patient, and listened so well—it made everything run smoothly and created the sweetest, most natural moments to capture.

Of course, with any “first,” there are always a few learning curves. A new studio, a new setup, and a new flow—but honestly, that’s all part of the journey. Every session helped me grow more comfortable and confident in the space, and I know it will only get easier and even better from here.

What truly meant the world to me was the incredible support. These sessions sold out in just a matter of hours, and I’m still blown away by that. To every family who booked, showed up, and trusted me with your memories—thank you. You made this day more special than I can even put into words.

There’s something extra special about “firsts” — and this one meant so much to me.

Ava’s cake smash session was the very first one in my new studio, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to start this new chapter. Getting to celebrate such a big milestone for such a sweet family made it even more meaningful.

What made this session even more special was seeing a familiar face — Ava’s big sister, Audrey! I had the honor of photographing Audrey’s cake smash when she turned one, so having her join in for Ava’s session truly brought everything full circle. Moments like these are the reason I love what I do.

Watching families grow, capturing these milestones, and being invited back year after year is something I never take for granted. Seeing Audrey step into her role as big sister while celebrating Ava’s big first birthday was just the sweetest reminder of how quickly time flies.

Ava absolutely loved her splash bath, and her smiles and giggles filled the studio — officially making it the perfect first cake smash session in this new space.

One of the best things about cake smash sessions at my studio is how simple and stress-free it is for parents. All you need to do is bring your baby and a cake — I take care of everything else. After the smash, your little one gets to splash in a mini bath for an easy (and fun!) clean-up, and once they’re all done, you can simply pack up and head home while I handle the mess. You already have plenty on your plate, so I truly love being able to make this an easy, enjoyable experience for you.
