I spent the afternoon with the Stafford Republic Party to take some new headshots for them.  I love when an "out of the norm" type session presents itself because it keeps me on my toes.  What a great group of men and women who came dressed nice and professionally for their session.  Not only is it an honor to be asked to do this, but also to have this group represent the town I live in.  Thank you for all your hard work!

All of Mason's superhero friends were on deck to celebrate this big man turning THREE!  Batman isn't just about crime fighting, he can do cartwheels too!  The birthday boy had such a great time tumbling and jumping around with all of his friends.  Happy Birthday Mason, I know you enjoyed your party and that awesome cake!  Thank you for always coming back so I can capture all these fun memories of your sweet face!

Avery was back in the studio today for some birthday photos!  This little frozen princess turned two and she wanted to celebrate with her best friend, Elsa!  She is just full of personality and spark, which is amazing to photograph.  Happiest of birthdays to you, little miss!  May this year bring you lots of joy!

This absolutely precious little beauty stopped by the studio for some first birthday photos.  First up was her dressy outfit, then her mermaid themed cake smash, followed by a nice splash bath to clean up all that blue icing!  Smashing the cake and making a mess is so much less stressful knowing they will clean up well in our bubbly bath.  Liberty has such beautiful, expressive eyes and I just love the way her photos came out.  Thanks for coming back to visit me, Libby, hope you have a great birthday!

Happy Easter Little Dude

My handsome monthly client, Joey, was back in the studio for some Easter photos.  It has been wonderful to watch him grow session to session, which is one of the joys of return clients!  He was just an itty, bitty baby and now he's in the studio in a tie and dock shoes!  Seriously parents, where does the time go?  Happy Easter to Joey and his family, I hope your basket is filled with goodies!

Beautiful Beach Maternity Photos

So beyond honored to be able to capture such beautiful memories for my clients, especially when my latest client is one of my best friends!  Katt and I took advantage of an almost 80 degree day this week to take some maternity photos.  Not only was she gorgeous and glowing, but it was so wonderful outside that she was able to get into the water in February!  She is getting so close to welcoming her beautiful daughter into this world and of course, I can't wait!  Tons of happiness to go around for this session and the many to come once baby girl arrives!

Marriage and Baby 

I had the pleasure of photographing these two newlyweds on their wedding day and again for their newborn daughters fresh 48 session at Community Medical Center.  This little miss is so sweet and deeply loved by her family.  I look forward to working with this precious family again in the future.  Congratulations Kevin & Carolanne, she is a beauty!  Dream big Maci, the world is yours!

I just can't get enough of this little bundle of joy!  Thankfully her momma is one of my best friends so I get to snuggle her outside of sessions too.  Chad and Katt's journey has been so beautiful and I'm honored that they've allowed me to photograph them along the way.  I know Kara will grow up to be strong and wonderful just like her momma and I'm thrilled that I will be there to see it all.

Some of you may remember that back in November we introduced you to this handsome fella and asked for your help in naming him.  Well, we are pleased to announce that we have decided that the new baby in the studio’s name is MILES!  A special thanks to Agatha for your suggestion, we love it!

For those of you who don’t remember, or may be new here, let me tell you a little bit about Miles.  Miles is what us photographers call a “stand in baby”.  He is the same weight and size of a newborn and is built to move in all the ways a newborn is.  He was created by Sandra Moffatt in her native Australia and I had the pleasure of receiving personal training from her at my in home studio!  After my lessons with Sandra, I received a Certificate of Achievement in newborn photography safety.  This is something I am tremendously proud of because it is essential that we don’t just get a beautiful picture, but that we also protect these amazing little ones we just welcomed into the world.  Sandra also taught me about proper lighting, posing, wrapping, and editing so that I can achieve the best possible photos of your newborn with confidence that I am doing so in a safe manner.
